Tatiana and Josh’s wedding day at The Bradford was vibrant and full of love. Their extended families had the opportunity to meet for the first time, which was so exciting for the couple! The two met while Tatiana was in her last semester of nursing school in Durham, and Josh was working in nearby Cary. Since they fell in love and Josh proposed in Durham, they knew they wanted to exchange their vows near the city.
While looking around for a venue in the Durham area, the pair came across The Bradford. They quickly realized it was the perfect fit! Tatiana had always wanted her wedding day to feel like Father of the Bride, with a focus on family and touches of elegance that weren’t too stuffy. Accordingly, she and Josh knew that they did not want a traditional country club venue. The Bradford, while classy, had the just-right casual feel the pair were searching for. Plus, Tatiana loved that it was a large house where she could comfortably host all of her friends and family—just like in her favorite movie!
Relaxed and Cozy Wedding Day at The Bradford
After choosing their venue, comfort quickly became a theme of Tatiana and Josh’s day. At their reception, they created a homey atmosphere by renting some soft, yet elevated living room furniture and setting it up in a side room. When guests needed a break from partying the night away, they had the perfect cozy place to catch up! In addition, Tatiana was so attentive to her mother and bridesmaids. She constantly made sure that they felt comfortable and beautiful in their dresses and shoes. And, in true Father of the Bride fashion, she and Josh both rocked a pair of sneakers on the dance floor!
I had such a wonderful time capturing this wedding at The Bradford, as both the photographer and videographer! Tatiana and Josh are such kind people with a joy-filled future ahead of them as husband and wife. I would love to help you document your wedding day too!
