Em & Nic | Raleigh Union Station

Emory & Nicholas were married in Downtown Raleigh in the brand-new Raleigh Union Station in October. They are my favorite tequila-loving couple! Raleigh Union Station is truly one of the most unique venues in the area; with tons of natural lighting, industrial vibes, and a three-story orange staircase, there couldn’t be a more fun place to get married. If you didn’t know they liked tequila, you knew when you walked into their ceremony, featuring a sign that said, “take a seat, take a shot”

These two are full of life, embracing their favorite things and fully putting their personalities into the wedding day. Em wore a fresh pair of white Nikes underneath a Hailey Paige tulle A-line dress, rocking a high pony for one of the most unique looks this year. Her bridesmaids wore a mix of olive green shades in gorgeous sateen dresses. Nic rocked a custom tux with embroidered details, standing out in a grey tux while his groomsmen wore classic black tuxes.

Words from the Couple:

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

“Having a giant party with everyone you love is by far the best part so I would have to say the reception. Tequila, loved ones, & your partner for life – what more could you ask for!”

What is something you would tell a couple just starting planning their wedding?

“Relax! It can actually be enjoyable – also pick vendors that are obviously good at their job but that you like! You spend a lot of time with them (depending on the vendor) & it makes it 10x more amazing when it’s someone that you really like as a person too.”

Out of all the photographers in the world, why did you choose to hire/work with me?

“Obviously, we could tell you were super talented from the photos of others we saw you post but also “The Quiz” on your website about you we loved! We could tell that our personalities would just vibe really well & that you were someone we would get along with even if we just met on the street.

Did you have any challenges, frustrations, fears, or concerns prior to working with me?

“Nope! You made us feel super comfortable from the second we started speaking with you.”

What were the results of working with me?

“UM HAVE YOU SEEN THE PICS – PERFECTION! You are not only insanely talented at your job (even more than talented if that’s possible haha) you’re incredible to work with & so easy going which makes the entire experience great.”

What would you tell someone considering working with me?

“110% – I would recommend you to every & anyone who needs a photographer. I would say you produce great pictures & have the best energy to be around!”
