When people say “don’t take your kids on vacations they won’t remember,” I say, “who said the trip is just for the kids” This trip was way more for the adults then the kids. We went with my mom and brother to Disney World in October. It was kind of spontaneous trip, as one day we just decided to go! We had been to Disney Land all the time when we lived in San Diego, and Magic Kingdom several times, but had never been to any of the other parks. Southwest has direct flights from RDU to Orlando for $79, so it was easy. We stayed at the Art of Animation Resort, in a nice big room. We left at 5:00 am in the morning and after a quick flight, we were at our hotel by 9:00 am, and our room was ready. After a quick stop in our room, we headed to Magic Kingdom first. I did bring my big camera with me for some photos, but we also go the Disney photo pass, so we collected all of our rides photos, princess photos etc.
Amelia was most excited about princess & rides. Though she does not look excited in ANY photo, she was all smiles talking about the princesses once a camera was not on her. She was hilarious, and we had to go back several times to see some of them. My brother and I like to see how ridiculous of a face we can make on rides, so excuse our craziness!
We got to experience all the Halloween fun, as well as the Epcot Food & Wine festival! For all the rides that the kids can’t go on, or one was asleep in a stroller, you are able to get fast passes so once the first set goes through, the rest of the group doesn’t have to wait in the long lines again. We went pretty hard all four days we were there. We were there open to close most days, soaking up all the Disney fun!
