This July has been quite the busy season! It would be great, except for the fact that its 95+ degrees and add in the 800% humidity it’s been pretty damn hot around here! Funny enough the NC heat is exactly what Matt & Caroline are avoiding with their December Wedding, but we didn’t quite get away from it for their summer engagement session.
After a couple of snafu’s, we started their session at the spot Matt proposed, Lassiter Mill, with their adorable pup Folger in tow! Folger is, by the way, the most well behaved and chill dog I have ever seen! She was just hanging out with us. We shot a little bit down there, before hopping over to Downtown Raleigh, where we went to the Marbles Museum to shoot in front of their incredibly bright and colorful mural (two things that I love!) This was all Caroline’s idea, so I love how their outfit choices popped off even more with the bright wall.
After we headed to the Raleigh Times Bar, which has the cutest patio on the rooftop, which was of course super crowded, but we managed to find a spot! We headed to the globe for some quick shots, before spending the last 20 minutes of sunlight at the Sunflower fields at Dorothea Dix Park (aka where every single photographer was last week.)
Countdown to their December wedding at the Rickhouse is on!!!
