This post is a long time coming!!! If you’ve been following me for awhile you may recognize Sydney & Adam! I have been lucky enough to follow their story from the proposal, to their engagements and now their wedding!!!
Rose Hill plantation was the perfect backdrop for their wedding, tucked away in Nashville, NC for privacy and some amazing the spots for photos. They had a simple color pallete of blush, white and green that made their traditional elegant wedding come together perfectly. The boys were able to hangout, play pool and checkers downstairs, while the girls were getting ready upstairs. Sydney’s dress was so gorgeous and her cathedral length veil was the perfect lace detail to add to her day! They both received special gifts from each other, and I dare say I saw Adam tear up a little. The excitement from the entire wedding party was so amazing, they truly had such a special group of people surrounding them that morning.
After spending the day getting ready, they headed to Inglewood Methodist Church in Rocky Mount for their ceremony. Adam saw Sydney for the first time walking down the aisle, and when she reached him he broke out in the biggest smile. The shared vows, and lit a unity candle before being pronounced Husband & Wife!
We headed back to Rose Hill for portrait time! We were greeted by Sydney & Adam’s adorable golden retriever Murph! He was so excited to see his mom and dad, but didn’t leave a single mark on her dress! Murph joined us for some pictures before heading back home, to await his newly married parents. Shoutout the Emily, Sydney’s Maid of Honor & Sister, who was the best dog attention grabber (Murph loves his aunt!)
Let me just say, Sydney ROCKED her portraits, it was getting really cold and it was an overcast day so we had no warmth from the sun, but after two gin & tonic, she kicked off her heels and just went for it! Scroll down for one of my favorite photos of them on the golf cart with their drinks!
It was finally time for the reception! With gorgeous centerpieces, and mantel decorations, as well as a giant donut tower, they were ready to party! After dinner, they held a special surprise dance for Sydney’s parents who just celebrated their anniversary and played their wedding song. Toasts from Sydney’s Dad, Emily and Louis, left the crowd with tear filled eyes and laughter. They really kicked off the dancing, and didn’t stop till the last song! The night finished off with a sparkler exit.
Now Sydney & Adam are enjoying their honeymoon in Italy, and I hope its filled with sun filled days and LOTS of Pizza!
Enjoy some of my favorites from their special day!
