Beaufort NC Rainy Engagement Session

Sometimes you really can’t avoid the rain in North Carolina. After having to push back their engagement session several times, we had to suck it up and shoot in some rain! Thankful for the heavy treeline of the live oaks, a former couple’s vacation house letting us use their porch, and then going with the flow of the day. As always I carry clear umbrellas in my car for sessions & weddings, just in case of rainy days. Clear umbrellas allow light to filter through, make sure faces are still evenly lit & colored naturally, unlike under normal umbrellas. Plus aren’t these bubble umbrellas just adorable!

Kathryn & Wade are getting married this December at the beautiful Rose Hill Estate, and I can not wait for their wedding day!
