Alexis & Cole | The Sutherland Wedding
July 26, 2020
Alexis & Cole finally tied the knot this weekend at the beautiful Sutherland Estate and Gardens in Wake Forest, NC. Originally planned for May, they had to postpone to July and though the day didn’t go originally as planned, they were still able to do some of the important moments, since their reception is postponed till January.
Directly after Alexis & Cole said “I Do” and walked down the aisle, they had their first dance, Alexis’ dad gave a toast, and they were able to do mother/son, father/daughter dance before an exit will all their guests! After that, we did family photos, bridal party, and couples portraits!
Cole and Alexis are one of the sweetest couples I know. They love to surprise each other in the sweetest ways. I got to spend their dating anniversary with them out at Biltmore. They brought the message in a bottle Cole had used to propose to Alexis, and I loved getting to know them! Check out their engagement session here!
Alexis’ favorite color is the beautiful minty/teal color, so her bridesmaid dresses were no surprise. I absolutely loved Alexis’ glam look for her wedding day, complete with red lips, and a killer updo by the amazing Tiffany of Brushes & Braids. Her grandma’s earrings made the perfect statement with her stunning beaded gown. Cole and the boys wore classic navy suits, with mint ties, complimenting the girls’ dresses.
Cole walked down the aisle to Star Wars, which was absolutely amazing, and got a lot of smiles from their guests! Alexis walked to the aisle to “On the Lake” from the Notebook, which was absolutely perfect. Alexis wanted to say their whole vows so they would really say the words committing to each other, instead of just “I Do” which I thought was just so sweet and special. They had one hell of a first kiss, complete with a dip & Cole throwing up his hands in the air! It’s one of my favorite pictures from their ceremony!
Check out some of the highlights from their wedding day!
