Jimmy & Erin

Market Hall Downtown Raleigh
Let’s bring some color to the Winter! Erin and Jimmy got married this past weekend at the beautiful Market Hall in Downtown Raleigh. You may have seen their engagement session out in the Mountains (hello opposites!). Jimmy and Erin are so fun together, and I could tell they were matched well. They are silly, authentic and balance each other so well.
Their jewel-tone color scheme brought in lots of colors. It’s such a breath of fresh air, as usually winter weddings go for the black & white color scheme. Market Hall is such a transformable space, that you can make it anything you want. The rich colors were pulled into the bridesmaid’s velvet dresses, the groomsmen floral ties, throughout the floral arrangements, and even Erin’s shoes! Erin looked like a stunning boho greek goddess, with an intricate headpiece, matched with a unique floral lace gown. Jimmy and his groomsmen had light grey suits that made their colorful ties pop! Erin shared a first look with her bridesmaids & her dad. Emotions were definitely high as there were tears, as Erin put on her dress, and during her first looks! Erin and Jimmy both wrote notes to each other before the wedding.
The real star of the show was Larry. Larry is Erin & Jimmy’s dog, who I swear is the most well-behaved dog I’ve ever met. He did such a good job taking pictures, walking down the aisle, and keeping everyone calm. Though the day after the wedding he had emergency surgery but is doing great, as mom & dad enjoy their honeymoon!
I’ve been to Market Hall a lot for weddings and loved the unique set up they had. Their ceremony wrapped around in a circle, that with the candles and floral lined aisle, made their sunset ceremony romantic & intimate. Erin’s uncle officiated their ceremony, Erin & her matron of honor hand made their signage, including all their parents & grandparents’ wedding dates that decorated the cocktail tables.
Their reception was full of great toasts from Erin’s dad, Elizabeth the matron of honor, and Tom, the best man. I will admit, YOU must see the reaction photos of Tom’s toast because it was both beautifully written and slightly inappropriate, but it got some good laughs. One of my favorite things was so many desserts! Not only was there cake, but cookies made by Jimmy’s aunt, and Two Roosters ice cream! It was a dessert lovers dream. The dance floor was full nonstop, it was an amazing celebration!
Check out some of my favorites from their day below!
