Sara & Russell
October 5, 2019
Whitehead Manor Charlotte, NC
This day was one of the longest awaiting on my calendar. Way back in October of 2017, I shot one of my favorite proposals. Right in front of the pineapple fountain in waterfront Charleston, SC. Check out their proposal here!
We got extremely lucky since North Carolina thinks that its Summer until November. It dropped from 90+ degrees to 70 in one night and it was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day!
I could not say more about how much I love both Sara & Russell, they are basically the sweetest & most fun couple. Their wedding party was equally as fun and rolled with all the prompts I gave them. We flowed through portraits SO fast. We were able to do all their photos, including family, before the wedding, so they had an hour beforehand to relax, and we just took a few just married portraits after the ceremony. Their ceremony was so sweet & hilarious. Their friend Matt was the officiant and did such a great job, and Russell’s love of sports made its way into the ceremony a couple of times.
I honestly think that ceremony exits are the way to go at weddings. They are incredibly natural, and there is no lining people up, corralling drunk people, with fire sticks. The confetti they used is not only biodegradable but water-soluble, which means that you just spray it down and it’s gone! It looked so incredible and was the most magical way to end their ceremony.
Shoutout to the amazing vendors we had for their day! The staff at Whitehead Manor was phenomenal, along with every other vendor we worked with that day. From last-minute confetti changes to delicious food, beautiful florals & killer music!
I hope you two are enjoying your time in London, and that Panther’s game while you are there!!!
