I got to shoot one of my FAVORITE things this weekend. A PROPOSAL!!! Alex has been planning this moment for months and had every detail planned for this very special question.
Ariel and Alex met at UNC-Chapel Hill, where Alex played football. He is now a coach for the UNC football team, which is one of the reasons we got access to the field! Ariel thought that they were going to a coach party at the stadium. What she didn’t know was there was no party, and instead, he stopped her on the 50-yard line and asked her to marry him!!! Another surprise was up in the balcony was her Mom who drove from the mountains and her best friend who flew in from Nashville Tennesse! The look on her face was total shock.
One of the reasons I love shooting proposals is it a session that is just full of love, and happiness. I had such a great time capturing these moments and some mini engagement photos afterward. We were able to catch the last couple rays of light at the Bell Tower on campus before they headed off to a party (yet ANOTHER surprise!) to celebrate their engagement.
Alex did good!!! real good! and I could’ve photographed them all night, they were such a dream to work with!
