I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited about a blog post, as I am about this one.
We spent the weekend photographing Kate and Justin’s destination wedding in the Mountains on the border of West Virginia and Virginia. It was absolutely gorgeous warm fall day, with the leaves just starting to turn. Four Fillies Lodge was the perfect backdrop for Kate and Justin’s Wedding. Tucked away with cabins for family and friends to stay with, a ceremony in the woods, and an incredible lodge for a reception, you have everything you need for a wedding weekend.
I don’t think I could’ve been blessed with a more perfect couple. Not only were Kate and Justin a joy to work with, but their family and friends were amazing, and welcoming as well. It always so much fun when the bridal party wants to do fun shots as well, including sunglasses and jumping (I’m a huge fan of jump shots!) I don’t think I’ve hugged a bride and groom so much! I love being able to connect with my couples and be more than just a photographer.
Kate and Justin met on Saint Patrick’s Day in 2013, and what a lucky day that was for them! (Which is funny because that is Andrey and I’s dating anniversary as well!) After a surprise proposal on the beach in South Carolina, they started planning their Fall Wedding for the next year. These two have such a sweet and fun connection. They are hilarious together, and I can’t wait to see where their lives take them.
Check out some of my favorites from their day!
