This past weekend I traveled to Winchester, Virginia to photograph this sweet couple’s wedding! Tim and Amanda met while attending Ohio Christian University. Ohio has a special place in my heart, so it was great to be surrounded by Ohioans all day! After a super sweet proposal in Barnes and Noble last April, they were married on June 9, 2017. Amanda and Tim had a first touch before the ceremony where they shared special personal vows and prayers with each other. There were tears, laughter and a large rock (which had such a special meaning to Tim.) It was one of the most special parts of the day. The love that these two share for each other was so entirely sweet. As Amanda walked down the aisle, I could see Tim trying to hold back tears seeing his bride for the first time. They shared traditional vows and communion during their ceremony, and walked out of the church in a tunnel of bubbles blown by their guests!
I loved that instead of the usual black tuxes, or trendy grey, Tim went with a classic royal blue that complimented him, and the groomsmen so well. Amanda had a stunning gown, and gorgeous Cathedral length veil (swoon!). Amanda’s bridesmaids rocked their mismatched dresses in dusty rose gowns. Their family and friends worked tirelessly setting up till 2am the night before for the reception! Their DIY details added to their romantic and rustic wedding day. Not only was the wedding in the Blue Ridge Mountains, but the reception was at Lake Holiday so we were able to use the beach at the Lake for some great sunset photos! Amanda, Tim and their bridal party were ridiculously fun, and we took some hilarious shots at the end of the night!
