My husband and I come from completely different worlds. He was born in Russia and immigrated to California in the United States when he was 10. I was born in Kansas and hopped across the country from military base to military base, but for the most part I have spent the majority of my life on the East Coast. We finally got the chance to travel to Fresno, California to visit, His family is part of a huge Russian community there, and definitely made me want to step up my Russian! I broke out my camera on our day trip to Monterey Bay to visit my husband’s two best friends (who happen to be brothers) and their parents and two sisters who are currently living over seas in Italy. One of his friends, Igor, had just moved back to California and was my boss at Starbucks and the reason we met! We got to hang out with them and my in-laws and watch the sunset over the pacific ocean.

I also did a little photo shoot with the cutest 15 year old, who is an inspiring (and pretty awesome) photographer!
