March 30, 2019 Wimock at Kinderton Spring Wedding

We haven’t had the best of luck with weather this past year, so as I started stalking the weather for Megan & Justin’s wedding day, it of course said rain. As I kept checking it throughout the week, I sighed relief as it went to cloudy to partly cloudy, and thought FINALLY a wedding day with no rain! Of course rain on it’s wedding day has it’s pros, but was so happy to get some sunshine! It was a perfect 74 degrees, and just a little bit (okay A LOT) windy, but not something we haven’t dealt with before, now have we Megan & Justin. The first time I met Megan & Justin in person was for their engagement session. Nothing says wind, more than on top of a mountain! You can check out their engagement session here!

I learned more about them as a couple, got to meet their sweet & energetic pups, and we got to hang out & talk a lot about pizza. I was only 12 weeks pregnant with Ellie at their engagement session, Megan couldn’t help but share how I told them I was pregnant at their engagement session, and 5 minutes later offered me champagne! It’s one of the reasons why I love doing engagement sessions with all my couples, because we that time to bond together!

I walked into Megan wedding day and learned something brand new about her. Holy crap, Megan is amazing at Calligraphy! She made all the signs, did all the hand lettering, envelopes, and did them so beautifully, if she wasn’t a successful PA who went through tons of schooling, I would’ve told her to start her calligraphy business ASAP. I was so glad I was there the first time Jenn of Green Bee Floral Design, showed her the bouquet, because Megan later told me that was the first wow moment of the day. That it was finally here! Even though she was halfway done with her hair & makeup!

We had FOUR first looks on their Wedding day, not only with each other, but Megan & her dad & bridesmaids, and Justin with his mom (so sweet!) Tears were shed early on in the day. Megan & Justin shared their vows privately together after their first look, before their Addi & Stella arrived for their big debut! These two were SO excited to see their parents, and wear their special flower collars. We were able to get some super cute portraits with them, and they were present the entire ceremony & so well behaved. I also learned what a chambong was…if you don’t know what it is, look it up, or just check it out in action below!

Their ceremony was short & sweet, with a couple moments were you thought Megan’s veil was going to fly away in the wind! The veil prevailed & these two officially got hitched! Which meant that the real fun was about to begin. After cocktail hour, Megan & Justin shared their first dance, along with parent dances, and thanked everyone for coming. The majority of the guest had traveled from out of town since Justin is from Baltimore and Megan from California. California Fresh Catering served a delicious meal, and we couldn’t help but noticed the crowds surrounding the dessert table with homemade desserts from Megan & her mom. This crowd was ready to dance the night away before sending home their guests with homemade caramel corn, Justin’s grandmother’s special recipe!

These two were surronded by so much love & joy on their wedding day, and hope that you two have an amazing little mini-moon in Flordia!!!

Enjoy some of my favorites from their day &
